FLC#20 - Sashi Moorman / Evening Land

This FLC meet-up is a great opportunity to get insight into one of the most brilliant minds in the US wine scene. Sashi Moorman, a former chef turned brilliant winemaker, was working as a winemaking consultant whilst pursuing his own wine label. Things went from good for Sashi to great when he crossed paths with Raj Parr, the most sought-after sommelier in California. Their mutual passion for wine further grew once they realised that they admired the same style of wine. Raj and Sashi decided to turn their shared passions into a business venture. They secured the Sta Rita Hills sites from Evening Land, founding game changing Californian wineries Sandhi and Domaine de la Cote. Ownership changes at the top levels of Evening Land eventually led to Raj and Sashi securing Evening Land’s Seven Springs site in Oregon, where they are now the sole proprietors.
